As a part of employee volunteerism activities, the employees from Iron ore Business have contributed and participated in various activities organised, thereby building employee community connect.
In FY21, a total of 41+ events were conducted which includes plantation drives, blood donation camps, utkarsh scholarship interviews, online workshop for students, road safety sessions, various community infrastructure inauguration events, distribution of fodder etc.,
Apart from these employees are involved in contribution of Covid-19 relief activities like distribution of PPE kits and hand gloves to police department, medical kit supply to district hospital, distribution of masks and hand sanitizers, distribution of grocery items to daily wage workers, and many more activities aiding in the community interaction of employees in various locations of Goa and Karnataka. In total, 308+ man hours was contributed by the employees through various volunteering activities.
